Yicheng
The little head Yicheng is holding in her hands is the very first sculpture she made, back in 2021. The intention of the sculpture is to show the activities inside her mind during a period of meditation and reflection, that led to Yicheng quitting her job at a commercial firm where she had been working for 10 years. She then applied for art school to start a different life.
Yicheng: “We all know the saying: following your heart. However, to identify our true enthusiasm can be as difficult as catching fishes in the ocean with bare hands. This sculpture represents a big turn in my life. And it also represents my will to grasp clarity and fight for myself, which will keep motivating me in my new challenges.”
